Summer Rain

I love to run and dance
In the summer rain
I love to feel it pounding
On my head and in my brain

I love to feel the water
Thumping on my back
To splash in giant puddles
With my fierce attack

I love the sounds I make
While sloshing all around
Stomping in the grass
Leaving mud prints on the ground

I love the summer rain
It’s warm and feels so good
I’d play in it all day
If my parents said I could
