Casey King

Casey King
He started to cry
When he had to read out loud
Oh my!
With bright red hair
And trembling lips
He’d start to stutter
And his stomach did flips.
His knees got weak
His hands would shake
His whole body’d tremble
While his grade was a stake!
His head got dizzy
His vision a blur
He wished so hard
They’d find a cure
For this trembling,
Stuttering, flipping, disease
Where you couldn’t talk
You could only sneeze
Where he couldn’t go to school
Without feeling weak
Casey wished
for a healing technique
But until one existed
He felt quite sure
He shouldn’t have to read
Out loud anymore!
